Marine fish parasites from the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam, with a parasitological assessment of Epinephelus coioides (Hamilton, 1822) aquaculture systems ( Dissertationsschrift )

A total of 307 specimens of Epinephelus coioides (169), Acanthopagrus latus (40), Protonibea diacanthus (47), Trachinotus blochii (37), Neotrygon kuhlii (7) and Telatrygon zugei (7) have been examined for parasites. 5 new species, Prosorhynchus tonkinensis (Digenea), two Dollfusiella spp., Shirleyrhynchus cf. butlerae and Prochristianella sp. (Cestoda) were described. Fish parasitology measures were found to be applicable for aquaculture management and serving as biological indicators for the status of finfish mariculture in Vietnam.<eng>
