In this thesis novel electrochemical methods are shown that can efficiently replace traditional, synthetic methodologies. The electrochemical approach offers a major reduction of by-products and increased atom efficiency. The first presented technique is a new bifunctional electrolyte-mediator structure, which serves as electrochemical mediator and supporting electrolyte simultaneously. The second presented technique highlights the sustainability of flow electrochemistry. It is shown that test reaction can be performed by electrochemical, oxidative initiation.<eng>
