Analyzing neuronal networks is a complex challenge, which requires consideration of many parameters which are usually not recorded by one measuring setup. While measurements with microelectrode arrays (MEAs) support information on neuronal networks, important information on possible ion channel modulation remains unknown. Manual patch clamp (MPC) measurements, however, provide excellent ion channel information only on single cells. The presented study describes the technical implementation of both systems and first experiments proved the feasibility of the introduced combined system.<eng>
