CD133+ Stammzellprodukte für die kardiovaskuläre Regeneration  (  Dissertationsschrift  ) 
In the present study, a highly standardized manufacturing procedure for CD133+ stem cells utilizing the CliniMACS Prodigy® was established. The generated stem cell product significantly improved cardiac functions in a murine myocardial infarction model. At the same time, MACS® MicroBeads used for the manufacturing procedure were proven to be well tolerated within the myocardial tissue. In addition, a magnetic particle-based transfection system was developed, which may become an attractive tool to further optimize therapeutic CD133+ stem cell properties and enhance local cell retention.<eng>
