Abstract

The state-of-the-art of GIS and remote sensing and hydrological model was used to evaluate the hydrological responses to land use/land cover (LULC) and climate change (CC). Surface runoff and groundwater are reduced due to the combined LULC and CC. Warmer and drier seasons predicted by the CC could exacerbate water stress in the catchment and downstream by increasing the magnitude of low flow days. Strong land-use planning and climate-resilient management strategies are required to combat the rapid LULC and CC.
